Canadian Liver Foundation - WHD 2011
In conjunction with World Hepatitis Day on July 28th, CLF will organize a Chinese liver health forum “Demystify Hepatitis
ABC” in Toronto area. They are expecting 1000 people to attend the event. The presentations will be delivered in Cantonese
and Mandarin. The goal is to demystify some of the myths about liver disease - it promises to provide positive, preventative
and practical advice and tools to help Chinese Canadians recognize the symptoms, risk factors that lead to contracting
liver disease and ways they can safeguard their liver health in daily life. They will also provide some services including
finding family doctors for new immigrants, providing drug safety advice to the attendees and helping the patients
understand health insurance coverage.
