By 5pm on World Hepatitis Day over 800 people had been screened for the Hep B

By 5pm on World Hepatitis B Day (28th July, 2011), over 800 people had been screened for the Hepatitis B virus at the Freedom and Justice Park, Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra (Ghana), as part of musician Okyeame Kwame's highly thriving social responsibility project aimed at fighting the disease out of Ghana. Campaign is been powered by the Okyeame Kwame Foundation (OKF).

The total number of people screened so far is 3,800, a few hundred persons shy of his 5000 target screening set since the project started last November tagged 'O.K In Ur Zone'. And the industry's toughest lyricist has yet to visit remaining scheduled cities including Tamale and Koforidua before he wraps.

During the screening, the One Mic Entertainment boss told Hi Newspaper: “we have already screened 3,000 people in Takoradi, Kumasi, Sunyani and Nkawkaw but this has been the biggest crowd at a single venue. Gradually, I'm achieving my goal of raising awareness and educating the general public about Hepatitis B, a viral infection which infects the liver and causes inflammation”.

The Okyeame Kwame Foundation has been giving free screening for the general public in partnership with MTN Ghana Foundation, MDS-Lancet Laboratories Gh. Ltd, Ghana Health Services, SAVE YOUR LIVER FOUNDATION, One Mic Entertainment, OHENEMEDIA (OM STUDIOS), THEOBOLD FOUNDATION and COCA-COLA,
